Our Philosophy: We train owners as well as dogs. The X factor in our training is not the dogs, it is the owners. Give your dog 15 minutes a day, and we will give you the skills to take control to enjoy the happiest pet-owner relationship.
Love chocolates
I have had the pleasure of taking on chocolate lab puppy for a two week board and train. Patch is an awesome dog and takes me back to my early days of training my own chocoalte lab. They have a lot of energy! I have had my hands full with Patch but he is super smart. Here is a picture of him learning the place command after only 2 days. I’ll keep you posted on his progress.
Check out Carter the Maltepoo!
Here is a picture of Yogi (Bulldog) and Carter (Maltepoo) on a place command
Carter is really smart but extremely stubborn. This is on his 5th day of training. He is visiting for a 2 week board and train mainly for potty training but needs basic obedience as well. Switching him over to a raw food diet has helped his digestion tremendously and hasn’t had an accident at night for almost a week. Carter’s owner told me he was not into food at all and mainly grazed. The first change I made was getting him on a feeding schedule, just like all my dogs. Now he scarfs his food down and his potty training is great.
If you need potty training for you stubborn dog give Who’s Walking Who a call to schedule a consultation.
Back online
After some very difficult technical glitches with the blog, it looks like I can get back to keeping you updated about San Diego’s favorite dog training company, Who’s Walking Who. I hope to be keeping you more up to date, barring any more technical problems.
In August my family moved into our new house in San Carlos. We absolutely love the house. It’s not only perfect for raising two very active young boys, it’s also perfect for training dogs. For being in central San Diego, we were lucky to find a house with a large lot. It needed a lot of work but we have really made it our own the last few months. I have the outside all dialed in for the dogs and have a separate area for the boys if needed (although they like hanging out with the dogs). It’s like having your own personal dog park in your back yard, without all the poorly trained dogs (oops, I mean owners…)
Group class changes
I received a call last week from the City of San Diego. ¬†They are now going to require that Who’s Walking Who have a permit to hold a group gathering. ¬†The permits are for events like weddings, etc, but they are lumping us into the same category. ¬†The permits are expensive – $80 per event. ¬†Due to this unforseen cost we have changed our classes from every week to every other weekend. ¬†We will keep you updated on this as time goes on. ¬†If you have questions about this feel free to call the office at 619-269-DOGS (3647).
Carly finds a home!
This is great news for Carly. I took Carly to visit her new home in Alpine last week. She will have over 2 acres to roam around, and it even has a pool for her to practice her swimming skills.
There is one other dog there but she should get over her dominance issues fairly quickly.
